Muddbunnies Trail Day - August 18

Hello Bunnies -

Mark your calendars! On Wednesday August 18th, the Muddbunnies Riding Club will be having a mini-trailday on our adopted trail - Slash.

If you haven't ridden it, Slash is that amazingly fun trail on Mt Seymour that connects you from the end of Pangor back to Bridle Path. We held two club trails on it last year and are excited to once again work with NSMBA Trail Team volunteers to improve and maintain this popular trail.

This mini-trail day will replace our regularly scheduled Wednesday club ride on August 18. Please meet in the Old Buck parking lot (Mount Seymour Road an Ann Macdonald Way) at 6:15pm

Wondering if you'll know what to do? Never been to a trail day? Then come on out! NSMBA volunteers will be on hand to help guide us through some basics of trail maintenance. Tools will be provided. Please bring your own gloves and make sure to wear appropriate footwear and clothing for mucking around in the woods for several hours.

Our trail building session will be followed by a BBQ in the parking lot.

I just wanted to say that rode this trail for the first time last night. Great work ladies! It was short but sweet! Unfortunately I will be out of town on the 18th so I won't be able to make the mini trail day event but have fun and hopefully I'll be around for the next one!

Thanks so much for organising this - i really hope i can particpate! Where we're from in Australia, trail maintenance is non-existent! It really makes you appreciate the amazing trails we get to ride here! Unfortunately we may have visitors (story of my life this summer!), but if I can make it, are we needing more hands (are partners able to help out), or is it a bunnies only event?

This is a Bunnies only event, but there will be a small trail crew from the NSMBA helping us with direction, etc.
The purpose is so that the NSMBA can teach the Bunnies trail building techniques in a small group environment rather than the large 60+ groups of the previous NSMBA traildays.
