Home safe and sound! The border was a breeze. What a great ride with the Bunnies and others :D
Thanks to Liana for showing us the way up and my group for the way down!

Not a bad way to spend 5 hours on a Sunday ;) Great riding, great views and of course great company! Thank-you everyone who was there I had a wonderful time (and the wait at the border to get home wasn't too bad either

Just a couple of fun stats for those on the ride (and those that weren't)

We ended up riding just under 25km (yeah I know it felt longer...) and climbed over 1,000 meters (3,300 feet)

Trails we rode where (and please correct me if I miss one)
Up - Ridge Trail - Cedar Dust - Intestine - Esophagus - Goldilocks - 3 Bears - Oly - Kaiser - Up the road to the Towers. Lunch with a view, then down - Wonderland - Naughty nelly - Keystone - Oly - 2 1/2 - Granny's House - SST

Phew! No wonder I was losing the ability to get out of the saddle and power up the climbs once we started going down. (Yes, you read that correctly)

I think there was a Papa Bear in there somewhere too but don't quote me.

It was a great day. We had more friends/family out on the ride than Bunnies! I think 16 riders (7 Bunnies) and 2 dogs in total. After Esophagus we split into 2 groups - Ina, Tina, Veronica and Ki rode up the road to the towers; Jac, me and 29er-Toni stayed with the crazies and continued riding up on singletrack. Both groups briefly met at the top but then opted for slightly different routes down. Big shout out to Toni who cleaned everything on SST!! And is a great pace buddy for the climbs!

We all ended up back in the parking lot within minutes of each other and headed out for apres riding Mexican food together!

Thanks to Kathy at Fanatik Bikes who spent 25 minutes on the phone with me discussing routes. Big thanks to Veronica's friend Liana who had the same route in mind and led us on it - but swapped in more singletrack climbing. Woot woot! Andrew's internal GPS got us safely down the mountain with the added "fun" loop on 2 1/2. And of course, big thanks to Sherri for originally setting up this ride for us.

Ki (and her amazing Seattle friends) took some of us on a fantastic loop by Mt. Baker on Saturday... thanks again!!

Hey Gang -

My heartfelt thanks go to everyone who grabbed the baton and ran with it to make this ride happen. I was there in spirit! Sounds like you had an amazing day...lots of pedaling! And if you saw the map you know there's even more to ride. How great that you connected with Kathy Salisbury - she's awesome. And 17 riders!! Way to represent!

As you may or may not know, my Mother Gloria passed away suddenly on July 2nd. Our family is still reeling from the loss, however we are also experiencing many blessings. It is a journey, as all of you who have been through this know too well.

A constant in my life is biking and this community. I'm getting back on the bike tomorrow and can hardly wait. I'll see you all on a ride very soon.

Ride Strong!
